World Soybean Research Conference WSRC 11
Informationen zur Veranstaltung
World Soybean Research Conference WSRC 11 wird vom 18.-23. Juni 2023 in Wien stattfinden.
The World Soybean Research Conference is back. Hosted for the first time in Europe since its founding in 1975, the eleventh WSRC will take place from 18 – 23 June 2023 in Vienna, Austria.
The urgent and overall aim of the conference is to harness science and research and innovation to align soybean production and use with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
Science lies at the heart of the conference. Conference participants represent the whole soybean research and innovation community from agronomy and farm economics through to processors and food manufacturers. Plant breeders, phytopathologists, molecular biologists, nutritionists and policy-makers will come together to shape the development of the soybean crop and its uses. This diversity of disciplines will provide a special opportunity to initiate new alliances across the soybean sector.

Canada is hosting the 6th International Symposium on Fusarium Head Blight in 2024
Co-Chairs: Dilantha Fernando (University of Manitoba) and Gopal Subramanium (AAFC)
The last time where the international FHB community met was in Brazil in 2016. Canada is ready to greet and host world class scientists at the beautiful Niagara peninsula, in Ontario in 2024! You will have the best of science and the best view of the Niagara Falls at this conference!
During these intervening years, many FHB scientists have retired, but “new blood” has entered and invigorated the field. We are looking forward to hearing about them and their new ideas. We will explore ideas in the microbiome, machine learning and synthetic biology applications to address FHB. How are agronomy models, adapting to the reality of climate changes and are policies and regulatory issues keeping up with the pace of new technologies of gene editing?
Let us meet and learn in Niagara!
Dates: October 21-24, 2024
Venue: The Marriot On The Falls, 6755 Fallsview Boulevard, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
