To give everyone an overview of our community, we would like to share some information we collected from our survey with you!
First of all, we want to thank all 65 people who filled out the form. If you’re under 35 and still interested in being involved in our community but missed the deadline, no worries! Just send us an email using the address provided above.
Here are the results:
First of all, it’s great to see that we have a wide range of institutions from different regions in Germany and Europe. This will definitely increase the fun! 🙂
Similarly, we have people from nearly every level of the academic career pathway, which we believe will enable us to share our experiences with each other!
Another nice thing is that we have studied many different plants, which will provide us with some diversity. However, we also have many plants that are commonly used in the group, offering a balance of diversity and similarity.
It’s also nice to see that many of us are interested in regular ECR meetings and presenting our research! We have already started taking the necessary organizational steps for these seminars. We aim to start our seminar series with a kick-off meeting after the summer season, around October.
It seems that we already have some members who have been involved in various types of SciCom activities. We are excited to work with all of you to organize our own events, ensuring everyone has a chance to practice science communication.
